Nuts. The Sterling v. Sterling & NBA Dispute is Over

Unfortunately for those of us who love a good public legal scrap, Donald Sterling has come to the realization that he loves money more than he loves a good fight, and has decided to drop the suit against his wife Shelly and the NBA. Someone was obviously able to reason with Donald and convince him that if he pursued the case, he ran the risk of torpedoing the $2 billion deal with Steve Ballmer, but would still most certainly be forced to sell the team later on, likely for hundreds of millions less.

This humble correspondent, for one, is sad that the fight is off. It would have been great fun to see Pierce O'Donnell back in the arena of high-profile litigation where he belongs.  But maybe we'll get lucky and see Shelly Stirling's case against V Stiviano (a/k/a Maria Vanessa Perez), eventually make it to trial.
